High School Sports Update: Lynnwood High School

Lynnwood High School continued its winning ways this past week as they royally pounded Mariner on Friday the 10th, 17-3 then beat Edmonds-Woodway 12-2 on Tuesday the 14th. Leading the way was senior third basemen Ryan Desimone who went 11 for 12 over the last 3 games, all wins by the Royals. Over the 3 games Desimone drove in 11 runs and has now raised his average to .600 on the year.

In the game on Tuesday John Mann picked up the victory for Lynnwood by going 5 innings and striking out 6. Justin Ansdel & Jason Lotver both contributed in the game as well by each knocking in 2 runs.

The Royals have pushed their record to 8-3 overall (7-2 conference) on the season. They currently sit atop the standings in the WesCo 3A South division. They hold a 1/2 game lead over Kamiak, and a full game lead over both Jackson and Shorewood.

Today Lynnwood will face off again with Edmonds-Woodway, this time at the Warriors home at 4 pm pacific time. On Friday Lynnwood will host Glacier Peak for the first time this year at 3:30 pm pacific time.

Next week the Royals will play a home and home series with Kamiak which could decide division supremacy.
