This is how people from Chewelah roll... and I really do mean roll.
SALEM, Ore. - Oregon State Police troopers were treated to the surprise discovery of approximately 12 lbs. of marijuana found during a Halloween night traffic stop on Interstate 5 in the Salem area. Two people were arrested and the investigation is being continued by the OSP Drug Enforcement Section.
According to Lieutenant Eric Altman, an OSP trooper stopped a rented 2010 Toyota Camry displaying Arizona license plates northbound on Interstate 5 near milepost 252 for a speed violation. Upon contact the two occupants were identified as driver Angela Caitlin Chilcott, age 26, from Felton, California and passenger Kristopher Lewis Sasse, age 24, from Chewelah, Washington.
The funny thing is how MSNBC had it as "Chewelah Man" in the headline as if the town that he was from was a vital part of the story. I'm wondering how many people were like "Chewelah! I know where that is!"...
I am named in this article, and this arrest has since been expunged. I work in the public health sector, and volunteer with combat veterans, so it is very damaging to my work to have this incorrect information attached to my name.
