Epic Video: Dwayne Wade is a nightmare

This cracks me up on so many levels, starting with the unnamed team that Dwayne Wade is apparently facing. Those jerseys look like the local AAU donated some unis to the professional team. About halfway through the commercial I expected Wade to turn into Edward from Twilight, it had that sort of "vampire" feel and if Nike went that direction, I'm sure 13-year-olds around the world would have been wearing Jordans.

And... where is the Dwayne Wade injury during this commercial? I mean it happens so often wouldn't you have to throw that in there. The clearing of the arena was pretty cool, except that the only person that could do that is Ron Artest running into the stands.

Other than that, cool commercial.

NBA MVP

With the NBA season wrapping up on Wednesday and the Playoffs beginning on Saturday I found myself reading a little about the MVP candidates for this year (since I don't pay a whole lot of attention until the playoffs). It appears to be a 3-man race between LeBron James, Kobe Bryant and Dwyane Wade.

In reading into this I found out something interesting that I honestly didn't know and that is that the MVP trophy is called the Maurice Podoloff trophy. Maurice was a lawyer and was the first president of the NBA. While president he introduced the collegiate draft as well as instituted the 24 second shot clock. You can read his wikipedia article here.
