Dan Leone, a game-day worker at Lincoln Financial Field, was fired by the Philadelphia Eagles thanks to his Facebook status.
Now for you "non" Facebookers, a Facebook status allows others to see how you are feeling, what you are doing, or your thoughts at the moment.
Here's what Leone's status said that got him the boot:
"Dan is (expletive) devastated about Dawkins signing with Denver. . .Dam Eagles R Retarted!!"
The reason for his frustration was of course the fact that the Eagles let Safety Brian Dawkins leave the team for the Broncos.
Leone, who is 32 and a life long Eagles fan, was called over the phone and told he was fired.
Now for the best part, the reason he was given was because that because of the comment that he couldn't be trusted and that the post made the team look bad.
Keep in mind that I'm sure nobody else in the world cared what a seasonal, stadium employee vented about on his Facebook.
Oh, and guess what Eagles, now you have made the team look REALLY bad. Not Leone, the administration. You stay classy Eagles, you stay classy.
