Sherman says half the NFL uses Adderall
Oh Richard Sherman, is there anything you WONT say?
The celebrated Seahawks cornerback who is quite good at his job (ask Skip Bayless) has been known to run his mouth - and has just come out to say that half the NFL uses Adderall. You'll remember that Sherman tested positive for this substance last season but was cleared from suspension when he said there were irregularities in the tesing process. He also said that he mistakenly drank a cup with a crushed Adderall pill in it.
Now he has come out and said that Adderall use is quite common in the league.
Following a day working with elementary school students in Surrey, British Columbia on Tuesday, Sherman told the Vancouver Sun that Adderall use is so prevalent in the NFL, the league should remove it from the list of banned substances.
“About half the league takes it and the league has to allow it," Sherman said of Adderall use in the NFL. "The league made a mistake in my case. Obviously, I didn’t do anything, but you have to go through a process to prove you didn’t do anything. There are still naysayers out there who don’t believe me. But I accept it. If everybody loves you, it probably means you’re not much of a player."
The better move would be probably be to just be quiet and let the whole Adderall thing blow over but this drug, used to treat ADHD and narcolepsy, could be another villain wrapped up in the veil of pro sports. NFL players can use this drug if they provide the proper paperwork but Adderall is considered highly addictive. If he's right, this is a more serious problem for players than just failing drug tests. How many players are addicted?

Seattle Seahawks and Sounders license plates
We've all seen those personalized plates driving around, Mariners, UW, WSU, heck even EWU is in on the action! But what if you could get a Sounders FC or a Seahawks license plate? Well that may be happening soon.
(Until these are made you can rock this Seattle Seahawks Chrome License Plate Frame
)
The Washington state Legislature is considering a bill that would create Seattle Seahawks and Seattle Sounders FC license plates.
According to King 5:
SB 5152 also allows pro sports franchises in the state to sponsor a special license plate if the funds are used in conjunction with a nonprofit organization. Some proceeds from the Sounders plates will go to the Association of Washington Generals to develop educational, veterans, international relations, and civic Projects. Some of the money will also support a nonprofit to increase the number of young mentors in Washington.
Funds from the Seahawks plates would benefit the nonprofit InvestED to encourage secondary students who have economic needs to stay in school or return to school.
The plates would cost you $40 to get and then cost $30 at the yearly renewal. If the bill passes, the plates would become available January 1.
I'd think about getting them. I know Brandon won't though. Mainly because his current plates read "GINGER1".

Your Seattle Sports Roundup
There's so much that has happened in the Seattle Sports scene in the past few days, I'd be writing like a bunch of different posts that would be just way to time-consuming. So for your own enjoyment, here are the biggest things to happen in or around the Emerald City lately.
1. UW ousts WSU from the Pac-12 Tournament - Still probably won't make the NCAA Tournament themselves. Save for Gonzaga, this college basketball season has been a whole lot of blah. Cue the Huskies fans saying they deserve to be in the field of 68...
2. Sounders are first MLS team to beat a Mexican team in CONCACAF quarterfinals - Seattle could also become the first MLS team to win the CONCACAF Champions Cup if they keep doing what they're doing. Now if this could just translate to success in the MLS postseason.
3. Seahawks sign Percy Harvin, suddenly become the free agent darlings of the league - Because you know it always works when you get a bunch of free agents. Ask the Philadelphia Eagles how that worked out for them when they claimed they had the "Dream Team."
The Sonics have also opened up a season ticket waiting list, even though it isn't even official if the Kings are moving here. But if you really have a hankering for some Sonics stuff, get some gear here.

How to deal with grief (for Seahawks fans)
The Seahawks lost a heart breaker, and since Americans treat their football teams like a child, many Seattle fans were in a state of shock and sadness after the Falcons
1. Stop Drinking - It was fine when you were drinking during the game, or even after it. It's Monday now, however, and I would imagine the boss would be quite angry if he saw you drinking out of your limited edition Shaun Alexander flask. Your name isn't Marshawn Lynch
2. Find a way to sell that $200 worth of Seahawks gear you bought this week - Word on the street was that all the Seahawks gear shops were sold out in Seattle. That would seem like "Hey! Seattle has the best fans in the world" but what it really means is "Hey! There were a bunch of bandwagon fans that hopped on at the last second!" so... in order to escape credit card debt, you might want to consider pawned that Lime Green Footsie.
3. Move on to watching the NHL - Wait, this is a joke. The NHL isn't a real thing anymore.
4. Remember you have a young quarterback, awesome defense and Marshawn Lynch - In other words, you will be okay next year.
5. Don't get pissy about the refs - That's really stereotypical of Seahawks fans, so please avoid stereotypes.
6. Remember you have a family that loves you - Even though you haven't seen them on Sundays since August...
7. Get ready for the Mariners' spring training to start - And all those free agents they got in the offseason will be making headlines in no time... oh wait... they got Jason Bay

Seattle Seahawks Buses
Today the Seattle Seahawks' buses passed my work on their way to the airport. They even had a police escort and an airplane escort that was pulling a GIANT 12th man flag.
(Get your own seahawks flag here)
The Hawks are heading to Washington D.C. where they'll take on the Washington Redskins in the wild card round of the NFC playoffs. Go Hawks!

Marshawn Lynch doesn't talk
(Buy a Marshawn Lynch jersey here.
To say Marshawn Lynch is an oddity would be an understatement. The man is famous for Skittle-guzzling, he coined the phrase "Beast Mode" for the way he plays and his grill is a road of gold. Seahawks fans love Lynch since he's everything their former running back, Shaun Alexander, was not. Hard-hitting, bruising and somebody that fights for extra yardage.
However, you won't here much from him. Or about him, for that matter. The running back is a bit of a recluse when it comes to speaking with the media and nobody is hyping him up heading into this post season despite rushing for over 1,500 yards this season and 11 touchdowns. The media spotlight seems to be brightly focused on rookie quarterback Russell Wilson and maybe that's how he wants it.
Danny O'Neil of the Seattle Times wrote an article about the enigma that is Marshawn Lynch. Naturally, there are no quotes from Lynch.
Perhaps its the way he talks, since apparently he has his own language...
This story should be easier to write. Lynch is not only one of the most important players on Seattle's team, but one of the most colorful. The man who authored the third-highest season rushing total in franchise history has a gold tooth and his own distinct way of talking that can only be described as Marshawnese. "What you say, bruh?" he asked during an interview earlier this year. It was a request to repeat the question.
Although, you can't really blame him for being leery of the media. He has had a few run-ins with the law and that cost him the starting job in Buffalo. Only 26, he has found a spot in the lineup of Seattle but don't expect any wonderful ancedotes from Lynch.
Outside the locker room, the man known for breaking tackles is more apt to throw a block. In Toronto last month, Lynch was in the team's hotel when a woman approached him and asked, "Are you the Skittles guy?" "I'm Marshawn Lynch," he said. She wasn't sure what to make of that. Later, when someone else asked if he played football, Lynch just said he was waiting for his friend. If he's going out of his way to avoid interviews, it's because he's not all that interested in letting people inside. He's run the gamut of media coverage. He received credit for back-to-back 1,000-yard rushing seasons in Buffalo. Then he was criticized during a prolonged hit-and-run investigation and an unrelated three-game suspension that stemmed from a weapons charge in California. This offseason he was arrested for DUI in California, a charge that still must be resolved.
So the reclusive, yet affable running back will talk the bulk of the carries this weekend for Seattle in their first-round playoff games. Fans will certainly be thrilled when he runs somebody over. That's how we treat guys that can carry a football. It's still an oddity, however, that a man so colorful as Lynch doesn't speak with the media. Since he's doing so well right now, people just think it's quirky. If his performance drops off, however, will people start to think its arrogant or mean-spirited?

I'm Jumping on the Seahawks Bandwagon!
Since my Tennessee Titans are... well awful, I'll have very little to root for this postseason. Normally, I would just switch to the NBA and call it good - making fun of Kobe and getting all in a flutter when Blake Griffin dunks.
(Buy your Blake Griffin jersey here

But I have to cast my interests somewhere this NFL playoff season, otherwise I'll be the only male in North America not watching football. The team I've decided to root for wasn't a tough choice since they're literally an hour and a half up the road from me. Yes, I'm jumping on the Seattle Seahawks bandwagon.
Now Casey already warned you about potential bandwagon-ers and I'd just like to say that "I'M HERE." Because really how can you not watch the Seahawks this postseason?
1. Up and Coming Quarterback - Russell Wilson is having one of the best seasons in NFL history for a Rookie. Normally, Seahawks fans are used to rookies being like Rick Mirer. Not anymore! Pete Carroll has found a guy that's incredibly fun to watch and has gotten better as the season progresses. It's going to be fun to watch Wilson do his thing in a playoff setting.
(Buy a Russell Wilson jersey here
)
2. A Defense that scares me - They actually hurt people. Watching the 49ers game last Sunday, they were much more physical than San Francisco. It was a whole different level of punishment for the San Fran offense.
3. A coach that makes other fans mad - The Seahawks are running up the score! Pete Carroll left USC because of NCAA sanctions! He's just wants to win no matter what! Tell me why this is a problem?
4. Seahawks fans are always drunk and bully people - And I don't want to be bullied.
5. Marshawn Lynch is the best running back in Seahawks history - Hands down, no contest. Move over Shaun Alexander.

Here come the Seahawks bandwagon fans
As a lifelong Seahawks fan I remember getting made fun of for rooting for the "Seachickens" while everyone else cheered on the Cowboys. Now those same people are cheering on the Hawks. At least they picked the right team this time! Go Hawks!
(Maybe it's time to buy some Seattle Seahawks gear.
Just in time for the playoffs!)
But don't worry. If the Hawks don't win the Super Bowl those fans will forget all about them and go back to cheering for whoever did win it. (Ah, who am I kidding, the Seahawks will win the Super Bowl).

Seahawks Busting Out New Grey Uniforms
The Seahawks have announced that they'll wear their alternative "Wolf Grey" uniforms this Sunday against the Buffalo Bills. While Seattle has already been sporting their new duds all year, thanks to a massive redesign by Nike, this will be the second time in team history the Seahawks have worn something outside of their normal home and away jerseys. Check out the photo above. (and get your own new Seahawks Jersey here
The last time the Seahawks did an alternative jersey was back in 2009 when they did their lime green crimes against humanity. Here's a photo of them...
Ewww... thank god they never wore those again. I don't think Seahawks fans have to worry about the Grey uniforms embarrassing the team like these lime green ones did. Since the new uniforms have been so well received and since this is just a minor color alteration, I would assume these uniforms would look fine. The uniforms look really good on television and that's all that really matters. (If you want to buy a lime green version of the new uniforms, click here.
Jersey sales have been up 274% since the Hawks unveiled their new design but that's probably because every NFL fan wants to look cool and up to date around all his other NFL fans. Alternative jerseys and redesigns are a bit of a racket to boost sales, but that doesn't stop the fans.

Who had a better chance than the Cardinals yesterday?
The Arizona Cardinals
should have just not showed up yesterday. They got smacked around by the Seahawks
, 58-0, in a game where Seattle scored the most points in franchise history and the margin victory was fourth highest in the NFL record books.
In other words, don't expect Arizona at the Super Bowl this year and don't expect Ken Whisenhunt to keep his job after the season. The Seahawks? We'll they're in the drivers seat to the players and look to be getting the fifth seed in the NFC.
Without further delay, here are things that had a better chance then the Arizona Cardinals yesterday...
1. The French
vs. Nazi Germany - I mean the French were in the war for like a month before they got invaded? Like, who needs tanks to fight wars? Certainly not the French!
2. Saddam Hussein
vs. the U.S. Military - Despite their best efforts, the Arizona Cardinals radio announcers couldn't quite pull off the "The Seahawks will regret running up the score!" act with their team crumbling around them. At least Baghdad Bob
had a news station to report to, I'm assuming the Cardinals game was taken off the air in Arizona by halftime.
3. Windows Vista
vs. an Apple Computer
- Microsoft screwed something up when they decided "I know! Lets make computers slower!"
4. Opponents to Legalizing Pot - Yeah that went well in Washington didn't it? Now the cops aren't rushing around trying to arrest high school kids riding their BMX bikes around the block.
5. MySpace vs. Facebook - It's still alive, but I think MySpace is a zombie now.
6. North Korea vs. the US in the Olympics - Little tip to North Korea, make sure your athletes aren't starving when they show up to their event.
7. The Death Star
vs. Luke Skywalker
- Although the Cardinals didn't have just one tiny exhaust port open, the whole freakin' ship was sinking faster than the Titanic.
8. Space Marines vs. Aliens in "Aliens"
- I know they had a bunch of guns, but acid-filled aliens with super strength and super sharp claws and tails aren't exactly an easy target. Good thing against 120 Aliens you sent 12 Mariners. Reaaaal smart.
9. Koopa Troopas vs. Mario
- Wait! The good guys have a fat Italian plumber? Nooooooooo!
10. Red Shirts in Star Trek
vs. Death - If you're wearing a red shirt in Star Trek and you appear before the opening credits, you're sooooooooo screwed.
In other words, don't expect Arizona at the Super Bowl this year and don't expect Ken Whisenhunt to keep his job after the season. The Seahawks? We'll they're in the drivers seat to the players and look to be getting the fifth seed in the NFC.

Northwest Christmas Gift Ideas for Sports Fans
With Christmas approaching very fast (it's only 18 days away) it's time to get a gift for the Northwest fan in your life. Here are five book/DVD suggestions from the sports guys at Just South of North.
- Pitchers of Beer: The Story of the Seattle Rainiers
: Now I have personally read this book and it's great! (I'll get a review up in the near future). The book chronicles how baseball returned to the city of Seattle. It's fast paced and great for any Northwest baseball fan. About the book: In 1937, when local beer baron Emil Sick stepped in, the Seattle Indians were a struggling minor-league baseball team teetering on collapse. Moved to mix baseball and beer by his good friend and fellow brewer, New York Yankees owner Jacob Ruppert, Sick built a new stadium and turned the team into a civic treasure. The Rainiers (newly named after the beer) set attendance records and won Pacific Coast League titles in 1939, ’40, ’41, ’51, and ’55.
- Seattle Seahawks 2005 NFC Champions DVD
: Ok, I know it's not a book, but it's awesome. Sadly it's not every year that the Seattle Seahawks make it to the Super Bowl. I own this DVD and watch it at least once a year. About the DVD: For nearly three decades the Seattle Seahawks were pro football's most anonymous team, tucked away in the Pacific Northwest, far removed from the media spotlight. But in 2005 the Seahawks could no longer be ignored. They posted the NFC's best record at 13-3 and led the league in scoring, enroute to their first-ever Super Bowl appearance. Team stars included league MVP Shaun Alexander, who led the NFL in rushing while punching in a record-shattering 28 touchdowns. Quarterback Matt Hasselbeck, fullback Mack Strong, and linemen Walter Jones, Steve Hutchinson and Robbie Tobeck were named to the Pro Bowl. On the other side of the ball rookie Lofa Tatupu was one of eight new starters on defense who transformed that unit into one of the league's finest. Here are all the highlights, from opening day right through Super Sunday -- the sights and sounds of every game in this special salute to the greatest season in Seahawks' history.
- Tales from the Seattle Seahawks Sideline: A Collection of the Greatest Seahawks Stories Ever Told (Tales from the Team)
: I got this book years ago and loved reading about the untold stories of the NFL team I'd supported for years. About the book: From the hilarious to the surreal, from inside the huddle to inside the broadcast booth, twenty-eight-year Seattle Seahawks veteran Steve Raible takes fans to places they never knew existed. In this newly revised edition of Tales from the Seattle Seahawks Sideline, fans are offered an inside look at life in the locker room and on the sidelines of one of the NFL’s most beloved franchises. Readers will have the chance to laugh along as Jack Patera trades Andre Hines to the Dolphins after warning Don Shula that a worse offensive lineman never existed, to marvel as Raiders legend John Matuszak becomes Seattle’s offensive coordinator during the final minutes of the Seahawks blowout win, to come along with Steve Largent as the Hall of Famer obliterates Broncos safety Mike Harden in the ultimate payback, and so much more. Tales from the Seattle Seahawks Sideline brings all the Seahawks greatest players to life from Jim Zorn, Dave Krieg, Kenny Easley, Curt Warner, Brian Bosworth, Cortez Kennedy, Warren Moon, Mike Holmgren, Ricky Watters, Chad Brown, Shaun Alexander, and more. This insider’s account also explores the lesser known characters whose stories inspire laughter, tears, and lasting lessons. Tales from the Seattle Seahawks Sideline is all about the people, proving through vivid anecdotes why the Seahawks are one of the most storied franchises in today’s NFL.
- Sonicsgate: Requiem for a Team
: While Seattle still doesn't have an NBA team this is an amazing telling of the events that happened to the Seattle Supersonics leaving for Oklahoma City and becoming the Oklahoma City Thunder. About the DVD: Webby and Emmy® Award-winning director Jason Reid pulls no punches in this riveting documentary that explores the modern business of pro sports. SONICSGATE: REQUIEM FOR A TEAM depicts how a perfect storm of corporate greed and political ineptitude drove Seattle's only team with a major league championship to relocate to Oklahoma and become the Thunder in 2008. SuperSonics fans were powerless as the team they supported for 41 years was ripped away, leaving Seattle as the latest casualty of the sports-industrial complex. Featuring exclusive HD interviews with Sonics legends Gary Payton and Shawn Kemp, acclaimed author Sherman Alexie and other experts and insiders who witnessed this tragic story unfold.
- Shipwrecked: A Peoples' History of the Seattle Mariners
: A must have for any Seattle Mariners fan. A look at the past and future of the team from Safeco Field. About the book: From "Moneyball," baseball fans have learned about the complicated relationship between money and success. The question now for Seattle Mariner fans is whether the current ownership will spend the money to give fans the team they have dreamed of and earned with years of support.
In "Shipwrecked," Jon Wells, a baseball writer and publisher who has covered the team for more than fifteen years, asserts that poor management and shortsighted ownership kept a team with three first-ballot Hall of Fame players, each in the prime of his career, from reaching the World Series. Wells details every misstep by the Mariners during the team’s 35-year history. But wait, there’s hope! Can General Manager Jack Zduriencik bring in enough young talent to make this club a contender again, as he did for the Milwaukee Brewers?
EXTRAS: *Best and worst trades *All-time best and worst players *Ranking the managers *Infamous quotes*

The dream of the 2190s is alive in Seattle
That's not just a photo of Marshawn Lynch flexing his butt muscles, it's a photo for the Seattle Seahawks new uniforms after they sold their soul to Nike. It's great how they have a knack for making football players look like pilots from "Robotech." (And if you get that reference, you're probably single. Enjoy dying alone)
With the Swoosh doing the uniforms for every NFL team, some expected some drastic changes in the National Football League. However, teams didn't budge and all the uniforms will look like they did last year except for the collar which is supposedly going to fit over pads better. Seattle, though, said "Hey Nike, lets rebuild this thing from the ground up." The result is a futuristic uniform that would make Stormtroopers shake in their boots.
That's not a bad thing, considering they could have pulled a Cleveland Browns and not change their uniforms for 50 years. If I lived in that city... well I would have moved to Cincinnati a long time ago.
While I've heard everything from "that's the most godawful thing I've seen since the Hilton Sisters made a movie" and "I didn't realize Rollerball was becoming a reality until now" ... I'm going to go out on a limb hear and say that these new Seahawks uniforms aren't that bad. Why?
1. Most NFL uniforms are going to look like this in 10 years - Come on, it's Nike. They picked on Seattle first because the franchise wasn't thrilled with it's Blue Man Group uniforms in the first place. And they're the Seahawks and they're easy to pick on (coming from the kid who got beat up for bring Curt Warner football cards to class). Nike will get their way with the other NFL franchises before... slowly taking... over... the universe. Just wait. This will seem mild compared to the Atlanta Falcons actually having feathers on their uniforms.
2. It's different from anything Boise State or Oregon has done so far - You can't blame Nike for being repetitive. We didn't see a giant Seahawk on someone's sleeve or a chrome helmet for these new uniforms. This look is completely new, but its not completely over the top. Everyone may make it seem like its crazy but it's pretty mild compared to anything Oregon has done. It has a slight resemblance to the San Diego Chargers' unis, and I think that's what they'll look like when you're watching them out on the field.
3. At least they didn't make the field bright lime green - Leave the cool, crazy fields to Eastern Washington University. And please bury those Lime Green jerseys from last season under the Space Needle. ery
4. Different combinations- Like the Oregon Ducks, the Seahawks can interchange three different colors between both their jerseys and pants. That means multiple combinations. I'm usually bored and extremely ADD on Madden so if I can change the jersey for every single game, that's frackin' rad. Why is this important in real life? Remember when the Seahawks first got their Blue Man Group unis and had their home jersey with white pants. It looked awful and it took them a whole year to realize blue on blue in the way to go. Now with these new uniforms, they can find the right color combo sooner (Big fan of white jersey, blue pants). Also the gray jersey looks really sharp and should be a nice addition.
5. Carbon Fiber Helmet - Hey it works for imports on "The Fast and the Furious," it should work for football right? Actually, until I see this work out on the field I'm gonna think this is a big flop. However, it could be worse, the Hawks could have these helmets.
If anyone wants to knock these jerseys... I mean, come on, it's Seattle, it's the Pacific Northwest, everything is a little bit different and weird looking. This is nothing new.

Seahawks release Marcus Trufant
Perhaps with the release of Peyton Manning, this kind of got swept under the rug. One the few remaining links to the Seattle Super Bowl team, Marcus Trufant was let go by the Seahawks after being drafted No. 1 in 2003.
In his heyday, he was a dangerous commodity on defense. While injury curtailed the end of his time with the Seahawks, I don't think too many fans can speak ill of this guy. Throw in the fact that he's a former WSU Cougar and he's a-OKAY in my book.
One of the toughest jobs in the NFL is being a corner back. You have to have a short memory and chances are, you're going to get burning. Trufant was solid back there at the position and I wouldn't be surprised if the Seahawks welcome him back to join the Ring of Honor at some point. Just look at this resume...
The move also cleared about $4.5 million in salary under the cap, where the Seahawks already have more than $20 million to work with.
“Out of respect for Marcus and his family, we’ve decided to release him today so that he has an opportunity to explore the full window of unrestricted free agency and the options that go along with it,” said general manager John Schneider.
“Marcus has done so much for this organization, but because of the changing landscape of the NFL, tough decisions have to be made and this is the correct thing to do at this time.”
The Seahawks selected Trufant with the 11th overall pick in the 2003 NFL draft. Trufant became an immediate starter, missing only one start in 124 career games played, returning from a back injury and playing in the nickel defense at Dallas (Dec. 1, 2009). He also started all nine Seahawks postseason games in his career.
He made 604 tackles (533 solo) to rank 10th in club history. His 21 interceptions rank fifth. He also return two picks for TDs, had 113 passes defensed, four forced fumbles and five fumble recoveries.
Trufant was voted to the Pro Bowl after the 2007 season, when he notched a career-high seven interceptions (2nd NFC, T3rd NFL), 85 tackles and 16 passes defensed, including tying the franchise-mark with three interceptions in one game (vs. Arizona, 12/9/07) and returning one 84 yards for his first career score.
In 2004, he became only the fourth cornerback in NFL history to lead his team in tackles when he recorded a career-high 93 (83 solo). He also tied his career high with 20 passes defensed (2003).
I can't see why another team wouldn't take a flyer on him, even if he has been injury prone as of late. He won't make a ton of money but I'd imagine we'll see him in another NFL uniform.

Marshawn Lynch is going to be a Seahawk for a long time
This is a bigger signing by the Seahawks than you think. By re-signing Marshawn Lynch, Seattle has corraled themselves a solid yards producer and scorer... somebody who is now coming into his prime as a running back. At just 25, the Seahawks' four-year contract should cover the best four years of Lynch's career.
This is a smart, smart signing, and it's surprisingly cheap. That 17 million dollar price tag is just 4.25 million a year of guaranteed money. If he hits all the contract requirements, its only 7.75 million per year. I don't think fans or the front office is going to complain about that price tag, even if Lynch is average for the next four years. Ask the Tennessee Titans how paying their running back lots and lots of money is going for them.
It also gives the Seahawks a marketable star, and a clear weapon on offense. Here's what Sports Press NW had to say about the signing...
A major deed on the Seahawks’ off-season to-do list was done Sunday night when leading rusher Marshawn Lynch was signed to a deal that, according to multiple media sources, is potentially worth $31 million over four years, with $17 million guaranteed.
The Seahawks were up against an NFL deadline Monday for placing franchise tags on players. But the tags are for a single year and both sides wanted more contract length. If the Seahawks did not reach a deal at all, he would have been an unrestricted free agent March 13.
“We are excited to keep Marshawn as an important part of what we are building,” general manager John Schneider said in a club release. “This is what we were hoping for when we acquired him from Buffalo.”
Lynch, 25, has been the most productive running back since Shaun Alexander’s 2005 season helped the Seahawks to the Super Bowl. In 2011, Lynch had career highs in rushing yards (1,204) and touchdowns (13) and also scored in a club-record 11 consecutive games. That broke by two Alexander’s mark, also in ’05. Lynch, also had 100-yard totals in six of the final nine games to spark a second-half surge that helped the seasons to a 5-3 record in the second half.
