WoW superfan character

I'm actually really surprised that Brandon didn't discover this error in the storyline of the game World of Warcraft.

If he would have, imagine the character Blizzard would have made for him. hehehehe....

Last week, we brought you a video of the biggest "World of Warcraft" fan in the entire universe calling the makers of the biggest on-line role-playing game in the universe on an error in the game's story line.

This week, the makers of "World of Warcraft" have rewarded this fan by creating a new in-game character inspired by him.

Wildhammer Fact Checker is the new character's name (see above photo) and he appears as part of "WoW's" forthcoming "Cataclysm" expansion. Meanwhile, the developers at Blizzard also have corrected the error that their fan — since dubbed Red Shirt Guy for the color of the shirt he was wearing in the video — pointed out to them.

Red shirt guy, as he's now being dubbed since he wore a red shirt when he called out the Blizzard elite, will forever go down in WoW history. Check out the video that's taken over the World of Warcraft universe:

Internet addiction leads to serious issues

Yesterday we heard about the guy that beat World of Warcraft, meaning that he's probably an internet addict. Hopefully he doesn't hurt himself, because apparently people who spend all their time in front of their computer on the internet are more likely to hurt themselves.

Researchers surveyed 1,618 adolescents aged 13 to 18 from China's Guangdong Province about behavior such as hitting themselves, pulling their own hair, or pinching or burning themselves, and gave them a test to gauge Internet addiction.

Internet addiction has been classified as a mental health problem since the mid-1990s with symptoms similar to other addictions.

The test found that about 10 percent of the students surveyed were moderately addicted to the Internet, while less than one percent were severely addicted.

The students ranked as moderately addicted to the Internet were 2.4 times more likely to have self-injured one to five times in the past 6 months than students without an addiction, said Dr. Lawrence Lam from the University of Notre Dame Australia.

The moderately-to-severely addicted students were almost five times more likely than non-addicted students to have self-injured six or more times in the past 6 months, Lam and his colleagues from Guangzhou's Sun Yat-Sen University reported.

Wow, so basically people with no social lives are more prone to physical harm of themselves? Surprise, surprise...

He'll be given the crown of the world's biggest loser

I don't know if I'd call this an achievement, I'd put this in the category of "what the hell have you done with your life?!"

A Taiwanese man has been named the first ever person to successfully "complete" World of Warcraft, collecting the game's staggering 986 Achievements to effectively do everything there is to do in the hugely successful MMO. This is literally the most amazing news of the day.

'Little Gray" beat the game after killing 390,895 creatures, administering 7,255,538,878 points of damage, completing 5,906 quests (averaging 14 quests a day), raiding 405 dungeons and hugging 11 players. I believe we can safely add another statistic to the numbers -- he has had sex 0 times during this period.

Some nitpicky WoW f*ckheads are trying to downplay Little Gray's accomplishment, claiming he received one event-tied achievement (B.B King) due to a glitch, and did not win it fairly.

You've got to be kidding me. I mean not only did this guy spend waaaay too many human hours playing this video game but apparently there are some people out there that want to tear down his loser-dom. Seriously? How big of a loser do you have to be to say that another loser isn't as big a loser as he seems? I feel like it's the same people that live in their mom's basement and eat catfood.

Epic Video: Date My Avatar

This is from The Guild.

Great. Now nerds can make music and play World of Warcraft. But this is pretty hilarious.

Reasons why you're still single... T-shirts you own

If you own these t-shirts. Chances are you've probably seen nobody naked in the last 2 years (porn doesn't count).

How to tell if you're addicted to the internet

1. You refer to people that play World of Warcraft as internet posers, and think that you shouldn't need to pretend to be a night elf in order to right a blog about being a night elf.

2. You twitter that you're on Twitter.

3. You're friends know you as that "LOL CATZ" person.

4. The internet was out for an hour one time, you can't remember what you did when your brain blacked out. You did however wake up with somebody's baby in the closet and a chimpanzee in doctor's clothing clanging pots and pans in the kitchen.

5. When you say "Dark Ages" you're referring to Dial-up. When you say "The 80s" you're referring to when your computer modem only transferred 80k at a time.

6. When you make out with your girlfriend, "Numa Numa" has to be playing in the background.

7. When people lament about how the internet is killing newspapers, you say "yeah, we showed those bastards."

8. You haven't been out of your house since Will Ferrell put out a good movie.

9. You think Canada is actually just a state in the US where they end all their web addresses with .ca.

10. You've watched an entire episode of Star Trek on You Tube. On a Friday Night. In your mother's basement. With your girlfriend. Who's actually just a stuffed Chewbacca doll.

Things America should do instead of playing World of Warcraft

1. Learn to play soccer so we can actually beat somebody when the World Cup comes around. I'm tired of quaking in my boots when we face Trinidad.

2. Discover some way how we can connect all those exercise machines to power plants and generate electricity. Think about it, America would get thinner and become less dependent on oil.

3. Watch hockey again.

4. Read a little and grasp a basic understanding of the english language so we can stop having "Hotzeechicka23045" log online and say things like "Thatz my girel!" and "Ima hot stuf!"

5. Spend more time perfecting that MySpace shot that shows juuust enough cleavage.

6. Spokie mentoring. Every spokie needs a mentor. Where else are they going to get their drugs?

7. Finally realize that Magic Johnson is the worst tv personality ever.

8. Cribbage anyone?

9. Tell somebody is the US government that all those workers they pay for road construction are taking a little TOO long of coffee breaks. In fact, they actually made you hold the stop sign for a few minutes while they got some joe.

10. Make fun of Tony Romo's ghetto booty.

Fat pitcher loses weight with Wii Fit

No, it's not Carlos Silva, but San Diego closer Heath Bell reportedly lost 25 pounds during the off-season by playing Wii-Fit.

...the hard-throwing Bell credits his Nintendo Wii Fit game for helping him lose 25 pounds. He reported to camp at a svelte 245 pounds.

"It said I was obese," said Bell, who weighed 270 pounds when he began playing the video game in the offseason. "I was disappointed that I was that big. I literally took the game to heart. I did the work but I kind of credit the Wii Fit."

Now I'll admit the first time I played Wii Sports with some friends I had some soreness the next day. However, that's a computer-bound, journalist, who had a beer gut and the metabolism of Jabba the Hutt.

When you're a professional athlete, shouldn't you have to do more than play a video game to lose 25 pounds? I mean what was he doing before that in the offseason that couldn't work off the fat? Seeing who could down the most steaks at the Outback Steakhouse?

Thanks Bell, for making baseball players look like overweight World of Warcraft Players...

Oh wait, that's my favorite baseball player - Curt Schilling.

You're wearing a shirt that says "Girls gone WOW"

...as in World of Warcraft. In an Irish Pub. Before a Sounders game.

That NCAA Tournament Bracket Guy

1. The guy that picks Duke to go all the way, every single year.

2. The guy from a small school who has his school penciled in for the Final Four even though his school has won only 14 games all season.

3. The guy who filled out a women's NCAA Tournament bracket. And went out on a limb and said UConn is winning it all.

4. The "Do you want to join my Tournament Bracket Pool" Guy. Really? Did you have to hack into my email and invite all my relatives?

5. The guy that bases his entire bracket off of which mascots would win in a fight.

6. The guy that gives you a 30-minute run down on each team and why they'll do what he just said. You avoid him at the water cooler.

7. The guy that put his house on the line for the bracket. Luckily, his mortgage is bad.

8. The guy that does the Dickie-V impression at least three times a day.

9. The guy that picks a school because they're good at football.

10. The guy that doesn't fill out an NCAA Bracket. He's much too busy playing World of Warcraft.
