Alcohol becomes more expensive, hopefully the Spokies don't revolt

Oh no.

This isn't good.

Somebody hide the children. Because we're going to have riots.

The State of Washington is raising the price of liquor.

Washington’s liquor control board Wednesday voted to raise the state markup on liquor by an average of about $1 a liter, starting Aug. 1.

Instead of increasing all prices by a flat $1.05 a liter, the board decided to vary the increase by the wholesale price. A bottle of low-end Monarch vodka, for example, would rise from $9.95 to $10.75. But a large bottle of premium scotch would jump from $76.95 to $83.65.

What the hell is everyone going to do when Carlos Silva is pitching again? How are they going to handle it? Sit in the corner and rock back and forth mumbling?

The increase does not affect beer or wine.

Oh, well in that case, somebody pass me a PABST.
