First on ESPN Radio, I hear that people actually tailgate religiously before Brewers games in Milwaukee - and then I go to Deadspin and they have a photo of people playing flip cup with one of the Brewers Sausage mascots. Ladies and gentlemen, what a state.
The same Brewer Sausages famous for an on-field assault by Randall Simon. (By the way, this is a super old clip and I remember watching this in high school and thinking this was the most hilarious thing I'd ever seen. Also, check out how deadpan serious the anchors are. I'm pretty sure this is the same serious voice they would use if somebody got murdered. The best part about this clip though is apparently Milwaukee newcasts run lotto numbers on the bottom of the screen the entire time. I'm not sure if I can take them quite as seriously)
By the way, greatest thing that ever has happened to me while playing flip cup, I was in the closer position during a game and our team handed me over a huge lead (we're talking probably three-four person lead in the game) and I blew it. It took me so many attempts to get the cup over that I earned the nickname "Five-Flip Hansen."
Not quite as bad as A-Rod's nickname (rhymes with "witch slits"), but nevertheless, I was the flip cup version of Heathcliffe Slocumb. When he came into the game, everyone groaned and headed for the exits.
