Eastern Washington's newest QB

Sophomore quarterback J.T. Levenseller is going to be an Eagle now.

You might recognize Levenseller as he played in four games last season for the Washington State Cougars.

Levenseller plans to transfer from WSU. Eastern representatives said Wednesday that Levenseller has asked for the transfer and was granted it.

He played high school ball at Pullman High School and is the son of WSU wide receiver coach Mike Levenseller.

NCAA rules state that because Eastern is an FCS (Football Championship Subdivision) team, Levenseller is eligible this season to play.

With Matt Nichols a senior and leaving after the end of this season, perhaps EWU has found their quarterback of the future?

Here's Levenseller's stats in the four games he saw action in last season:
PASSING G/GS PA PC PI YDS TD LG EFFIC.
2008 4/0 34 17 2 134 0 134 71.34
