Shock start playoffs with team they've never lost to

Tonight we dine in the Spokane Arena! ... as the Spokane Shock kick off the 2009 playoffs against the Stockton Lightning. Here's the game advance from the Spokesman Review...

Spokane has never lost to Stockton and the Shock dominated the Lightning three times this season.

In the last meeting in mid June, Spokane set franchise records with 88 points and a 61-point margin of victory. The Shock intercepted Lightning quarterback Chad Cavender six times.

Spokane leads the all-time series 10-0, but the Shock insist they’re focused only on tonight’s matchup in the Arena in the first round of the arenafootball2 playoffs.

And what's funny is that the Spokane Shock coaches will probably go Lou Holtz on their players and list every reason why Stockton will beat them that night - which is funny. Seriously, I'm sure they would gameplan hard and tell their team they can't get lazy over a scrimmage against the Mead JV squad - they're that committed.

They don't want their players to overlook Stockton either even though I'm doing that right now. :D
