High School Sports Feature: 3 In A Row?

Snohomish High School will be looking to make a third consecutive trip to the boys 4A state baseball championship game this year at Safeco Field. If the Panthers can pull it off it will be an impressive feat for a few reasons.
First off Snohomish no longer has Derek Jones who was a two-time Herald All-Area Baseball Player of the Year. Fortunately for Brandon, Jones decided to become a Washington State Cougar and is now part of their outfield. Also the Panthers had about 25 less kids try out for baseball this year, thanks in part to the opening of Glacier Peak High School.
It's not all bad news however as Brian Wolfe is back for his senior year and takes over as the #1 starting pitcher, as well as playing first base, for Snohomish. Wolfe notched his first win of the season, as well as the first win of the season for Snohomish (1-0) on Monday the 16th in a 7-3 win over Lynnwood. In addition to Wolfe the rest of the starting infield returns as well.
It should be an interesting season for the Panthers as they will be looking to punch a ticket for Safeco Field in late May and attempt to repeat as Washington State 4A Champions.
