As much as I like steroid-fueled men try to knock the crap out of one another, the NFL doesn't start for a while. I guess it will be just the natural players of the NBA slugging things out in the Western Conference Finals.
However, the WWE is now embroiled in a battle over Denver's Pepsi Center where Game Four of the series is slated to be played next Monday. WWE Raw is also scheduled at the Pepsi Center as the same time.
So what does this mean? Well, it means that it's time for Vince McMahon to say something stupid...
"Even though the Denver Nuggets had a strong team this year and were projected to make the playoffs, obviously Nuggets and Pepsi Center owner Stan Kroenke did not have enough faith in his own team to hold the May 25th date for a potential playoff game," said WWE Chairman Vince McMahon.
Let's send some pissmen (drug testers) to the door of WWE Raw and see what happens. Something tells me that everyone would scatter like cockroaches. That should free up the Pepsi Center for the NBA. Listen I love wrestling as much as the next guy living with his grandpa, girlfriend-less and hopelessly addicted to sports, but let's not forget ITS THE WESTERN CONFERENCE FINALS.
I'm sure all the jobless wrestling fans can come back on Tuesday or Wednesday night.
Erroneous! Erroneous on both accounts!
ReplyDeleteMcMahon is in the right here and that quote is wicked awesome.
Just because it's the Western Conference Finals doesn't mean it takes precedence to the WWE. Sure, wrestling is staged, but it draws ridiculous attendance numbers and revenue. And it scheduled the date a year in advance. If McMahon wants to move the date of the event, that's his choice, but by no means should he be forced to surrender May 25th to the NBA and the Denver Nuggets.
