Entering homecoming weekend in Cheney, the Eastern Washington University football brings with them the number 8 ranking in FCS.

But more importantly, with Montana State's loss to Northern Arizona, Eastern is tied for first in the Big Sky standings. With key wins over Montana and Northern Arizona.

Here's a look at the top 10 in the FCS:

1. Appalachian State Mountaineers 6-0
2. Delaware Blue Hens 7-0
3. Jacksonville State Gamecocks 7-0
4. William & Mary Tribe 5-1
5. Stephen F. Austin Lumberjacks 5-1
6. Villanova Wildcats 4-2
7. Montana Grizzlies 5-2
8. Eastern Washington Eagles 5-2
9. Wofford Terriers 5-1
10. New Hampshire Wildcats 4-3

There are four Big Sky teams in the top 25. Montana at 7 (who Eastern beat earlier this year), Eastern at 8, Montana State at 15 and Northern Arizona at 22.

Also, Saturday's game against Sacramento State will be the third game on the red turf of Roos Field. So far the Eagles have a 2-0 record at the Inferno.
