In overtime.
Then there's the Boston Red Sox, a team that Kitzan religiously follows , who lost 6-5 in the 12th inning tonight to the Oakland A's. This drops them to 2-6 on the season and keeps them in dead last of the AL East.
Meanwhile, the Yankees won tonight 7-3.
Again, it's early in the season. But damn. This has not been a good night for the man.
You can help Kitzan recover from what I can only compare this to is breaking up with your girlfriend of five years after she cheated on you with Jason Giambi.
So please. Send beer. Women. A DVD copy of Rocky 4. Some cigars. A small stash of slightly illegal drugs. More beer (Kokanee). And a shot of the strongest liquor you have to Mr. Kitzan's house.
Godspeed.
How in the hell did Gil Velazquez, Chris Carter and Javier Lopez all end up playing in the same non-spring training game for Boston tonight? At least the Chiefs were trying. The A's Single-A farm team could have beaten the Sox tonight, though it would have taken them 14 innings, not 12. No, I'm not bitter.
