Not what I want to see

Last night the Red Sox had some decent pitching, but the absence of any offense whatsoever resulted in a 5-0 loss to the Los Angeles Angels in the ALDS. Ack. I know it's just the first game of a five-game series but what worries me isn't the guys that take the mound - Beckett, Lester and Dice-K are a formidable starting pitching lineup, middle relief is okay and Papelbon is still one of the premier closers in the game.

However, you can't win games if you can't score runs and the Red Sox have shown their inability to score runs at times during the season. Tonight's game against Los Angeles is a must-win and then we'll see what happens when they go back to Boston. Hopefully the bats decide to wake up.

Am I nervous? Yes. Very Nervous.
