Super Mario Beads Video

This is pretty much the coolest thing I have seen in a long time. Super Mario, beads and stop motion films.

Everyone who grew up in the 80s and 90s knows about Super Mario and his adventures. He's a plumber, Italian and an icon.

Check out this video:

And don't forget to buy Super Mario for the new Wii U.

Nike Mario shoes

When I first saw these shoes I almost thought about not posting them because I knew that Brandon would immediately buy them and then never take them off.

Then I thought that'd be hilarious.

The shoes sell for around $130 dollars. But you can find deals like this one for $85.

Video games you played as a kid - if you were a loser

1. Bubble Bobble - This "non-violent" alternative to NES games were pretty much for parents and kids that didn't want to squish Goombas and Bowser. Lame.

2. Mario on Game Boy -
Not to confused with the second Mario game that came out on the original Game Boy, which was amazing, this was the first Mario Game Boy game where our hero was approximately three whole pixels (see photo). No joke. And don't try playing the Game Boy in the dark, it doesn't work.

3.
Jeopardy - You try answering 1980s questions that required you to type in the answer with your NES pad. Yeah I couldn't get a question right nowadays much less when I was twelve.

4. The
Addam's Family - You played as Uncle Fester and killed Aliens, which really had nothing to do with the movies. Great marketing ploy fellas.

5. Any sports game other than
Tecmo Bowl and Blades of Steel on the NES - Let's face it, sports games before the SNES and Sega really sucked badly.

6. Not Mike Tyson's
Punchout - Generic Punchout? Thanks Iron Mike for losing your endorsement, now I get to play Mr. Dream.

7.
Tetris - Everyone had Tertis and the only people that played this game were our parents ... for hours... while we watched ... and cried.

8. Dr. Mario -
Same as above except now you have viruses. Played this game a couple of weeks ago and it still really sucked. I've decided that Mario just shouldn't go into the medical field.

9.
Pac-Man - What's next? Porting Pong to the Nintendo? Oh wait, I think they did that...

10. Final Fantasy -
Trying to get a 12-year old kid to play a role-playing game is like trying to get Wesley Snipes to do his taxes.

Mario's girlfriend nightmare

After just playing the latest digital rendition in plumber butt-kicking goodness "Mario Galaxy," it got me thinking about how many Mario games I've played where the princess is in trouble. With the exception of Super Mario 2 which isn't a real Mario game and should be renamed "Super Turnip Throwing," he's always trying to get this girl out of one situation or another.

It would suck to be Princess Peach's boyfriend for the following reasons.

1. She's high maintenance
"Sorry, but the princess is in another castle." Are you serious? I just jumped over steaming hot pits of Lava, fought a freakin' dinosaur and you're telling me she's not even in the castle?

2. Her friends are lame
They're short, annoying and wear funny hats.

3. She hangs out with shady characters
Bowser has captured her again? How many stinkin' times will she run into green, scaled, infinitely evil beings at the bar? Doesn't she have some sort of protection or cock block (read: fat friend)?

4. She wears the same thing every day
Pink dresses are soooo 1987.

5. She's a bad driver
Think about it, how many people do you know play Peach during a game of Mario Kart? More people go for Koopa Troopa and that guy doesn't even have opposeable thumbs.

6. She's crazy
She's lost a grasp of reality after hanging around the "Mushroom Kingdom" for so long. After all, shrooms are a gateway drug.

The Wii Workout

Incase you haven't heard, the Wii is the hottest thing to happen to videogame systems since Pong.

Well, I joined the craze of Wii fanatics and purchased one a while back. I actually had to fend off 14 kids, 7 moms, 2 grandpas and a goat on my way to the cash register at Toys R Us.
For some reason I have always enjoyed track and field.
So when Nintendo came out with Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Games, I knew I had to get it. Little did I know what I was getting into.

Day 1: Throwing the game into the system I get ready to play. Two hours later I was ranked 1,251 out of 45,082 in the world. Yet I still sat over four feet behind first place.

Day 2: My shoulders were slightly sore yet I decided to play anyway. Today I won the gold in the 100 meter dash, a silver in rowing against the computer and placed 983 out of 14,256 in the hammer throw.

Day 3: I head for the TV with a slight limp and unable to lift my arms above my head. The constant movement of the remotes (spinning and flicking) have begun to take their toll on me. Yet somehow I manage to place silver in archery, gold in high jump and after the fourth hour still couldn't break the top 5 in long jump.

Day 4: I warm up with a few stretches and jumping jacks. Then I get to work. After 3 hours I have won gold in the 400 meter dash, forth in the 4 x 100 relay and silver in the triple jump. Another day, more sore muscles but more medals too.

Day 5: I lay in bed, unable to move. The constant abuse to my muscles has finally been too much. I finally roll out of bed and crawl to the TV. Refusing to let this system get the best of me, I turn it on. After only 12 minutes my arms feel like putty and I am laying in the middle of the floor on my back. Sweating worse than Mark Mangino at a lobster buffet during the Kansas summer. This round goes to Mario and Sonic. They have beat me.

This game is a better workout than Richard Simmons came out with Disco Sweat. And that is saying something.
